The control centre based on the site of BARD Emden Energy GmbH & Co. KG is able to monitor and manage up to 400 offshore wind turbines with a power output of more than 2,000 megawatts to the highest industrial standards.
This integrated control centre in Emden is one of the world's most advanced wind farm management facilities. The relevant data from each individual wind turbine on the high seas can be accessed via a display monitor measuring several square metres. All medium voltage cabling work in the wind farm and the offshore transformer station can be supervised closely on colour-coded circuit diagrams. In future, this is where all maintenance and repair procedures as well as materials management will be coordinated.
