Efficiency has the highest priority in the internal development of our rotor blades.
Our blades are in their dimensions aerodynamically ideal and are designed for an optimal output at high average wind speeds. A relatively slow rotation speeds and state of the art production techniques ensure an especially long lifespan. BARD blades rotate on average approximately 20 percent slower than conventional rotor blades, minimising the abrasion at the top of the blades and thereby reducing the maintenance effort substantially. We rely on glass fibre reinforced plastic components on basis of expoxy resin which is a material which has proven itself for the construction of rotor blades since more than a quarter of a century. All three-dimensional blade components have a core of plastic foam.
